Using network shortcuts in Objectdock

How do I create stable shortcuts to network shares in Objectdock?

If I use something like \\server\share1 in the link box, even just typing that in locks Objectdock up solid every time.  If I do manage to get that text in, when you click the shortcut it sits there for minutes and then the window pops up out of nowhere.  Why is Objectdock so horrible and handling network shares?  Is there any way around this other than to map network drives all over the place?  I only have so many drive letters.

Thanks!

What I did what map them as network drives, which gave them drive letters and then the shortcuts work without a problem.

Just drag the actual link from your networks to the dock and it should create the proper shortcut for you. You will still have to edit the name you want it to be.

That creates a shorcut ok but when it's clicked I wait for up to 2 minutes before the window actually opens.  Sounds like a bug I hope they fix in v2 because it's just a UNC to a valid and active network share.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to fight with mapped drives for now.
