Does anyone else experience long load times?

When you select single player and tournament in Demigod does anyone else experience long load times before getting into the game?

I'm sure this will be optimized in future patches but I just wanted to make known to all and also to find out if you guy's are having the same problem.  Thanks

I've had a couple odd experiences with long pauses when I click-through the opening movie and when I exit the game entirely. At first I thought the game had hung, but when I gave it like a minute it completed.

I thought it might be my beta profile so removed that, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Since I was only able to run a quick game during lunch, I haven't investigated further yet.

Same problem as you gruppie, also takes an age to load gamemodes

there are already at least 2 threads on this. It is do to the unexpected server load caused by the early release by Gamestop and the resulting tens of thousands of pirates. It will be fixed tomorrow when the main servers go up. Only the beta servers are up now.

Those who take long to load -> What is the working frequency of your CPU? Also, 32bit or 64bit?

Best if you can post your DxDiag here then I could help.

I have a 64 Bit CPU 64bit windows...9800 GTX Gefore 4gigs of ram. Intel 9300 CPU If I'm not mistaken....its not a super pc but I should be able to steam roll Demigod. I expereince major "lags" and the update "bug" currently. I don't see why the devs didn't use more anti-piracy measures I don't even know what the fuck to say about that. I just know I better not lag because a bunch of douchebags didn't even buy this game. I saw this game at walmart. They wouldn't sell it... I went next door to gamestop they sold it to me. I didn't know anything about all this BS about early buyers and gamestop blah blah. Gamestop has a the launch date as the 10th if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know who fuck this up but I know I want my $40 worth of a game.

Expected it to be a 64-bit. 9300's and 64bit, even though both compatible, can sometimes bottleneck your system causing system slowdowns. It happened it GTA IV during release, and developers had to release a patch for that.

Your CPU runs at 2.5GHz, mininmum is2.4GHz, Demigod supports multicore, but your system does not allocate all cores equally,

Try running the game in 32-bit compatability mode.

I'm running XP 32bit with SP3, an XFX 8800gtx "not overclocked", EVGA 680i motherboard "AR Version" and 4gigs Corsair Dominator 8500. I have all settings on high and anti-aliasing set to 4x and the game runs perfectly smooth.

When I originally installed the game I had Comodo Firewall Pro on my system, there is some sort of conflict with Comodo and Demigod.  I uninstalled Comodo and the game loads fine now, hopefully there is no conflict with any other firewall programs.

As to the realease date, I bought my copy of Demigod on 4/10/09 at Best Buy.  I first drove to Game Stop and saw it there and had them put it on hold for me, then I went to Best Buy "for my reward zone points" and asked someone if they had the game in stock, the clerk checked on his computer and said he had 10 in stock and went in the back, found it and gave me a copy.  He did say the release date was the 14th but he still gave me a copy of the game.

Why would Demigod contact the server when you're going to play single-player? And what if I play it on a PC with no net connection (say, a notebook in a plane)?

Inquiring minds want to know.
