I wish i had a faster line, i am maxed out at 350kb/s, had 1.5mb/s back when my brother worked at the ISP =P

got a 300 kb connection if im downloading normal on internet 1 mb:S:(

Thank you! I'm getting 300 KB/s here, which is still nice compared to what other services are willing to transfer at when it isn't peak hours or a release.

A big thank you here too! 88% at 900kbs+  Thats faster then Steam!!  And I'm amazed that my little WiFi Max that I used to use to play Monster Hunter online is pulling in that kind of speed on my wireless.

And thanks for creating such a great game that everybody wants to download with such haste!

is it 1 MB per second or 1Mb per second?  Most likely the later (I've never seen an internect company show bandwidth on a byte scale rather than a bit scale)

If its the 1Mb per second, then 300 kB per second is about what to exect, a little better in fact.

Thank you Stardockians for coming in on your day off and turning on the server; thank you SD for producing such a great game; thank you GPG for developing such a great game!

I'd thank the beta testers for help making it so great, but that'd be kinda... mastubatory?

Yeah, I downloaded at my peak download rate, only 300kbps, though for a release day speed, for me at least that's great.

When Empire Total War came out, I had numerous hours where Steam was toiling away at 6kbps and half the time saying download was unavailable, though this wasn't apparent with Demigod, so it appears that you have indeed managed to avoid 'pulling a Valve', it's also out on time, in fact a day early for us (and several days early for Gamestop customers, darn Gamestop, not that it's you fault at all Stardock, quite the contrary, you still helped relived our doubts even though it was not your fault. Great going ). I've not played yet, but Stardock time certainly seems to be alot more orderly than your main competitors. Keep it up.

All in all so far a good experience. The game looks amazing, sounds amazing, and so far is plenty of fun. Download was extremely fast, installation smooth. Small nicks with not being able to play online against others yet, but that's fine.

Many of you are getting an opportunity to see the sausage factory in operation.  

The original plan is that the IT team would be putting up the new servers this evening and nobody would have noticed the various downtimes of some of the servers because only a handful of peopel would have it.

I'm still glad we let pre-orders and beta testers get it today even if it meant they'd see the backend being set up since they got to play the game at least.
