WDDM drivers

As I recently found out, Vista Home Basic cannot support Transparency like xP due to it lacking the necessary WDDM drivers. Now, I'm no Tech-Wiz, but when ever I needed OTHER types of drivers for other programs to run on my PC, I was able to simply download and install them. So, (and please dont laugh if this sounds stupid, but) cant the WDDM drivers be copies or extracted from xP and then installed on Vista inorder to get transparency support for Windowblinds?

Since there will be no Home Basic version per this post  LINK I would say that any retail version of Windows7 you buy will have full Aero support. That is,unless you buy a computer with the Starter version on it. In that case it will also have this "issue" so be aware of it before you make a purchase.

Thanks, looks like Premium will do me just fine. Any word on when it drops for the general public to purchase?
