The only skins WindowBlinds will switch between are the Windows Classic and Windows XP themes.

I'm running XP sp3 on my computer, and this is the trial.  I really don't intend to spend money on this program if I can't get the trial version to work, but I can't figure out how to get this to skin.

I've rebooted my system since installing.

The problem that you are getting is what happens when the time limit on the trial has expired.  Where did you download it from?  When was it download?

The condition you are describing is usually an indicator that the trial has expired. It is only good for 30 days.Uninstalling and reinstalling it will not "reset" the trial. When did you first install and run WindowBlinds?

Edit: Philly has it right and beat me to the post ....again.;)

I was going to say that but looking at the build number, that may not be the case.

Uninstall it. Then download the trial copy from: https://www.stardock.com

I don't remember ever installing it before.  I had been using StyleXP before, but it broke with SP3.

Is there any way to find out if the trial version has expired?  Usually, when the trial is dead, the program lets you know 50 different ways so that you can cough up the cash.

I got this version from Impulse, maybe....  3 hours ago?  I installed 6.3 from Cnet last night, and the same issue was happening, so I decided to see if I could find a newer trial today.

If that is the case,I would uninstall the trial and run a cleanup program like CCleaner and reboot. Then download and install the trial from Impulse, since that is the newest version. Stardock does recommend that you temporarily disable any Spyware/AV apps you have running during the install. Good Luck!

As usual...great advice from the wiz!

Well, I tried the CCleaner route, and it worked.

So while I certainly can't explain why things worked, I'm glad they did.

Thank you very much 5*
