Pre-order benefit

A quick question; I pre-ordered my digital version of Demigod here the other day, will I get a Demigod Vista Theme with it? I heard some mention it, just want to be 100% sure, since on the pre-order page it says the collectors edition gives you this, so I just wondered if I got this as a benefit for pre-ordering?

Thanks in advance.

I believe you misread.

For the digital version, you only get the desktop theme I believe. The Rook figurine and all the physical goodies are for the boxed version only.

You are correct. Digital pre orders get the theme last I heard.

But do not fear, those of us who pre ordered the digital version will be allowed to step up to the boxed version once the game launches. I know I'm doing it.

Let me use this time to quickly ask one of my own pre-order related questions, if no one minds. It's likely been asked before, but I couldn't find any info  by snooping around or searching.

Does preordering from here vs. ebgames really make a difference? I was thinking of preordering in store so I could pick up the physical box as soon as possible, but the truth will likely be that those who preordered from here and got the box + digital version will be able to download the game before anyone would get a chance to pick up a physical copy. Obviously, they also get the box sent to them.

What do you guys think?

You are correct that if you pre order from here, you get the digital download right away while you wait for the box to get to you. Also, if you pre order from here, I'm pretty sure ALL of the profit goes to Stardock, instead of splitting it between Stardock and EB Games.

So I would go for pre ordering it here. You get the download right away, and all the profit goes to Stardock. Con being you have to wait for the box to get to you.

Thanks for all the quick replies!

No problem you posted your own question in here as well, by the way!

So when the game launches I can basically pay the extra $10 and get a boxed version as well? :)

Plus shipping and handling, of course.

The last I heard it's $5 + S&H. But that was before the price drop, so I'm hoping all we have to pay is S&H.

Thanks. I preordered it just now from Stardock and also bought a copy for a good buddy of mine, he got my Dawn of War 2 so we can play together but lack of any real 2 vs 2 + horribly idiotic team mates + overpowered Nids and Marines had us stopt playing eventually.

Hopefully the community in here is far better, seems like it so far. I like big team match ups but it's never fun when idiots who can't even take simple advice ruin what would of been otherwise a nice, action packed match. And obviously no one likes OP sauce.

I beleive the price drop was only for the digital version. If you want the collecter's edition (the upgrade), I think it is still $49.95 + S&H
