Unit Scale

Heya, i was pretty intrigued when I first saw the first pictures for this game in the Games For Windows magazine, and have been following its development over the last year.  Ive noticed that as the game gets further developed, the videos and pictures ive seen have been slowling shrinking the size of units.  The Rook who once towered over the foot soldiers and other demigods now looks to be about doulbe the size of the other units in the last 2 developer diary videos.  Can you adjust the scale of units in the game settings or are all the cool pictures of the HUGE units just for cinema screens?  The scale was what impressed me the most and Im just wondering if they are making things smaller.

I think the cinematics etc. just make it seem like the proportions are a lot different.  That was pretty much my first point of confusion when I started playing - I felt like most things ought to be a lot bigger with the exception of the Rook (who was already collossal and now even larger).

I think the scale is staying pretty much as is, though.  The creeps are meant to be miniscule and easy to murder en-masse (as opposed to most RTS and the way that a certain unmentionable game works).  I'm over it, it's not such a big deal, although I would like it if creeps weren't so easy to ignore, like you could actually get killed by them if you're not paying attention or playing well early on and even later on.

To directly answer your question: No, I don't believe you can change the scale of the units in-game, although if modding becomes available that will probably be possible.

Cool, thanks.  Do the Rook and other giant type units still dwarf the other units?  Im looking at a photo of the rook squashing a minotaur,  and the Rook looks to be about 5 or 6 times the size of the minotaur. In the developer videos hes nowhere near that big.  Is he that much bigger than the other units in game?

Rook has shrunk, because it was very hard to see anything in his shadow.  He's still pretty massive compared to the other units though.

Yeah, if you want the minotaurs to be miniscule you'll not be disappointed. :P
