Impulse won't move past the login screen

nothing works, server not responding.

I installed a fresh xp, service pack three, internet explorer 7, net framework, and impulse. nothing impulse does will work or anything. Everything says server not responding. I don't know what more anyone needs to know, or what to do. I don't get a preferences or blue orb and I've already sent an e-mail to stardock support, but they won't get it for another day, so I'm trying here too.

Best I could suggest is to uninstall Impulse with Revo Uninstaller, and then reinstall. Maybe something happened during the first installation.

Won't matter. I did that three times on the old installation and twice already, once with the net installer, and with the full.

edit: sorry, that sounded rude. I do appreciate your advice and care, but I did try that already. It does not excuse the attitude. its just frustrating not getting the real official version when a hax version would.
