    1. This mod was created by JasonFJ, a Star Wars fan and avid gamer, who somehow managed to thrash out this mod despite holding down a full time job and one hell of a fine girlfriend. Appreciate my sacrifice!
    2. Goafan - The only other modder for Requiem, a great co-conspirator who has contributed a lot to the evolution and improvements of Requiem. Also the author of the "Requiem Plus" add-on.
    3. George Lucas - Full tribute belongs to George Lucas who as we all know was the originator of all thought and material that now comprises the Star Wars universe. George if you're ever in Singapore or Australia drop me an email I'd like to buy you dinner sometime. If you're a Lucasarts legal suit looking to sue me for copyright, consider how much free publicity I've given the company and franchise and consider sending me a $10,000 cheque for my time
    4. EvilJedi - for the significant graphics and audio effects that are the cornerstone of the mod without which I probably would never have done this mod.
    5. Gurkoz -  for the incredible sound effects that make this mod even better.
    6. ManShooter - for the Volumetric Explosions mod which was included in Requiem Entrenchment to v2.8... truly a god-like graphics enhancement!
    7. Tohklidan -for components of Celestial Bodies mod that really inspired me to work on the celestial bodies artwork.
    8. Uzii -for the planet textures and inspiration that came from the awesome Sins Plus mod.
    9. Bailknight and Moguta - for the original and continued development of this mod which I've adapted for use with Requiem Diplomacy.
    10. Credits to Grundel for the icon button graphics
    11. Thanks to Warmaster and all his info and guidance on making this mod as true to the Star Wars Universe as possible.
    12. Thanks to Carl for providing and prompting me to introduce the Alliance and Empire theme icons.
    13. A salutation to John Williams, the composer who wrote all the Star Wars movies music. If you like the music you can buy the official Star Wars music CD with all the songs from all the movies.
    14. Thanks to many posters over in the official Sins->Modders forum for all your helpful posts. Stimon000 and Vunda for early suggestions. Special mention to MajorStress and Harpo for helping out on the forums and contributing valuable material to not only Requiem, but the modding community in general.

In order, green, red and blue. Yes we had similar situations with free for all.

Um, I meant which races (Vasari, Empire etc.). Or am I just missing something? :maybe:

And that's weird, the AI has attacked me several hours into a game on free for all. But I'm usually not a very aggressive player when playing mods, so that could be it. I guess I should try to blitz some unfair AIs and see what happens.

Oh yeah! Me and my friend were in the Alliance, everyone else was in the Empire.

    Thanks.

The site is working for me too. Here's the direct link to the download page if your broswer wasn't redirecting you for some reason.

And to the mod downloads themselves.

hi all, i just bought the original game 2 days ago and my wife has been killing me about my time on the comp. and i just got married last 2months ago.

having problems getting this fantastic sounding mod to work. here is my situation and i hope anyone out there can help me get this to work.

    1. downloaded the updates and patches for vanilla sin earlier today

    2. bought entrenchment via impulse and downloaded fine (just for this mod)

    3. however, when i take a look at the folders to download reqiuem, there isnt a 'mod folder' in this latest patch from impulse.

so, i just downloaded the zip file in the entrenchment folder. unzip it and nothing when i run the game. so i go back to the 'db.imperial' website and follow the instructions. nothing. im running windows xp so i follow the instructions as best as possible. so when i get to step 5, the comp doesnt recognize the info im putting in from the game mod locater (c:\document and settings...)

    any help?

btw, i have the 1.18 for the sins and 1.41 for the entrechment

Create a mod folder for Entrenchment, then stick this mod inside that mod folder.

i wish it was that easy, i still get no recognition by entrenchment

you have to unzip the file, and DOUBLE CHECK THE DIRECTORY!!! You want it to be like this:

Mods-Entrenchment v1.041/Requiem/[GameInfo/String/Sound/Textures/Mesh/whatever else is in the Requiem folder]

    +1 Loading…

    A. Make sure Requiem is in the folder Mods-Entrenchment v1.041 (if making your own doesn't work, maybe try reinstalling Entrenchment).

    B. Unzip Requiem and Make sure you have only the Requiem folder, not Requiem->Requiem->GameInfo etc.

    C. Enable Requiem from the Mods area on the options menu.

    D. After you get Requiem Running, unzip the 2.6.1. patch and move it into the Requiem folder. It should ask you to override a couple of files, which you should allow. Needed to avoid a couple of minidumps.

thanks all, it finally worked. i misspelled the directory from step 5. thats the reason why it wasnt recognized. but then i got the '0' sum. so i followed the option on the db.imperial site and unzipped it with winrar rather than with the built in zip program.

spent 5 hours last night on single saga and on a designed effen huge map. this has got to be the best add on to any game i have every played. jason fj and to all who helped: you guys should be either payed for this or should be working for lucasfilms.

on a side note, lucasfilms should buy this engine and design company before some other company does, this design studio is fantastic.

    thanks again

Hey guys, its a good mod but I got one problem. The game keeps crashing on me every 20 min or so. I have three gigs of ram so I know its not the ram so much. I have uninstalled the mod and the game and renstalled both before posting here. I am running the most recent of the patches and the mod.

Well, if the crashes seem to be random, its probably because you have your graphics settings too high. A lot of people have reported similar problems when the graphics are at the highest settings, and lowering them seems to solve the problem. I'm not exactly sure why it happens, but I seem to remember hearing similar things in other mods. X|

And thanks for the praise rommhan, and really thats all you can give modders. The instant money gets involved these kind of things become impossible.

Thanks for the advice. One of the problems ive noticed, especally with following the SOA project (Sacrifice of Angels 2) They have trouble with the hardpoint limits with the game coding itself. Like with this mod how you still have the stock races in there not just Empire and rebals.

So, can I take it that solved your problem? And yes, I've been worried about the hardcode limits as well, as it certainly could be the source of the trouble, but I was under the impression that the mod would flat out refuse to work if you went over the limits.

I'm not exactly sure what steps you are following, but it sounds like you are having difficulty finding your mod path? If so, clicking the button in step 3 here should give you the correct folder. If it doesn't exist, you may have to create a folder called Mods-Entrenchment v1.041 in the Sins of a Solar Empire AppData folder.

If that doesn't make any sense or that wasn't your problem, you might find the answer in a more general guide here.

my first minidump experience: i've played requiem in all sorts of setups on a design your own galaxy, 10 ffa in a 3 star map, 10 ffa in a 5 star +400planets map, with both rebels and alliance and on high graphics. no problems at all.

i had a mini dump on a 1 star map with 24 planets from one of the scenarios provided by sins, 5 teams, locked teams and had a mini dump about 30 mins in to the game. :(  it cant be the graphics.

Well, its hard to tell what the problem is from a single minidump (as currently modders have no way to get any useful information from them). If the dumps occur seemingly at random, its usually a memory problem I think. If it always occurs while the game is doing a particular action, then its probably an error in the code.

If you think it is the latter, open the user.settings file in notepad (the settings folder is in the folder above the mods folder) and turn ShowErrors (near the bottom of the file) to TRUE, hopefully it will give you a file in the mod if it minidumps again.

Also, in other news, 2.7 in nearing completion. I'll try to post some more screenshots before it comes out.

I have to say the v2.7 release is looking very promising, with key contributions from GoaFan, Moguta and Whopperdown.

Some modding dribble for those interested: Requiem is pretty lean when it comes to essential features, and quite a bit of non-essential fluff has been taken out to keep it as simple as possible whilst maintaing maximum visual and audio effects. Balance and stability are guiding principles.

what is that ship that vader is on in empire when they're chasing the falcon into the asteroids and can you get it in the game?

Why, I don't suppose you'd ever mean this ship:

    ;)

I don't think so, JasonFJ has stated in the past he won't put super ships in the game.  Of course he could change his mind.  Sins of a Galactic Empire has it in in though, which is the other Star Wars mod.
