impulse client error updating

It's very annoying, i can't update my impulse client since it gives an error every time it tries to update.  Since the update is needed to play any games i have, i cant download them or play them at all.  I sent an email to stardock about this, and havent gottten any reply.  I tried re-downloading from stardock's site, and it didnt help.  Anyone from this boards know whats the solution??

Same problem here, but on my son's computer. There was much on the discussion boards about this in November '08, and the solutions were many, but none worked for me. I'm holding off on purchasing any more Stardock software until the problem is resolved or they make updates available for download without having to launch Impulse. Seems like Stardock is becoming like EA, wanting to micromanage control over software that I own!

Damn, so you havent been able to fix the problem there either?  Im inclined to believe it's a problem with this computer, because on another computer i have it impulse updates itself with no problems.  I dont know what the problem is here, i have tried clearing the registry, deleting rubbish files, running anti-spyware programs, everything short of a complete re-format/reinstall.  I find it funny that no one here from stardock can give a simple suggestion if the problem isnt related to their system.

I finally got it to update! Apparently you just have to keep reinstalling it.  But now, i cant see the icon for one of the games i have, dawn of war.  What do i do?
