what video card and driver version?

it's possible that the latest driver version has bugs.

 32 or 64 bit? Could it be possible you got a bad/incompatible driver download?You might try rolling back your driver to the previous version and running the assessment again. If it improves things,you may want to wait on that update or try downloading it again after deleting the one you just got.

if rolling back does not help then completely uninstall your nVidia Video driver and reinstall.

but becareful if you do uninstall. If you are running a motherboard with an nVidia chipset ALL drivers will be listed in your add/remove programs list under nVidia drivers. the uninstall wizard will by default ask if you want to uninstall ALL drivers, which will uninstall any network, storage or other nVidia drivers. You need to select ONLY the video driver, or else you'll be re-installing all nVidia drivers.

Personally I prefer to uninstall any previous driver before updating, I too have had problems if trying to update over already installed drivers.

I've reached the Programs and Features menu, where I found one entry in the list, named: 'NVIDIA Drivers'. When I click to uninstall it, it gives me the option to uninstall the entire driver and all the components, but it doesn't let me uninstall specific parts.

Google on NVIDIA uninstall utilities. There are sometimes issues with specific versions of the Nvidia drivers not wanting to uninstall correctly. I have also seen where go into Device Manager (right click on My Computer and select Manage) and uninstalling there will work where doing it through Program Features doesn't work correctly.

If you have a laptop you can get newer video drivers from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com they build custom INF files for the drivers for laptops to be able to use the regular nvidia releases and I have been using their versions for 3 or 4 years with great success.

And if all else fails get a bigger hammer.

If my memory serves my correctly,I have seen that before on my rig.I believe there are run commands that will fix it,but I don't remember what they were. The screenshot is a big help so I'll bet support will see this and give you some help.I wouldn't uninstall anything yet.

I tried throwing big chunks of ice at it but the firewall simply melts them into water.

I already have re-installed the video card software. I wouldn't worry too much about that error because it doesn't seem to have any impact on my system. Also, the base score has returned to 3.4. Huzaa! Thanks for the help.
