How can I unzip a downloaded file for a boot screen forXP

 Hi, downloaded a zip file for a boot screen. I DO NOT know where to extract it or save it at, to use this file ? I'm kinda new at this,but not completely illiterate to my pc...ha:blush: .Does anyone have any help for me?? I have been everywhere on-line for tutorials and such, all kind of downloading software, but i cant seem to find a simple way to modify it . Any suggestions at all?? please??

Extract the files on your destop. A new folder will appear. Inside you'll find a file with the extention .bootskin double click file to install.

Nope, not that one, but i'm gonna go do it now..It seems to be reading the file as a excel file or extension that windows isn't recognizing..Thanks..I'll try this one..

Yeah you need the application for the ext .bootskin to work :D

same as you need word for .doc or a browser for .htm or a mediaplayer for .avi... etc. etc.

You can also modify your windows installation manually this is what bootskin does for you so you dont have to "hack" your windows copy, mind you that hacking it manually is a bit dangerous (might happen that windows wont boot) if you dont know what you are doing thats why bootskin was created ;)

I have done it manually before, bootskin is a improvement hehe
