Impulse Purchasing

from Stardock Forums

My parents are reluctant to purchase Entrenchment on my Impulse account but if they order from Impulsedriven.com, can they buy it for me? I understand the emails need to match in order for Entrenchment to properly register. If this is possible how would it work? Do I simply enter the serial key given? Or do they have to identify my stardock account as the recipient?

i just checked my reg codes and entrenchment and sins are under different emails.  i purchased through Impulse however not though ImpulseDriven.com.  I used paypal and everything was pretty happy thoughout the process and both apps update and run fine.

idk what to tell ya about buying from the .com vs. impulse's gui.  effectively they are the same.

Everything about your Stardock account is centered around the e-mail address. If you purchase the expansion, and use a different e-mail than your SD account, it creates a 'new' account that is 'disconnected' from your original account. If this happens, e-mail us at support@stardock.com and we can merge the accounts back into one, under the e-mail that you direct us to use. This situation happens most often if one uses PayPal, or someones elase CC that may have an e-mail tied to it.
