Can I lend my game?

I wanna play Demigod with some friends in a LAN party...am I able to install and activate the beta in her pcs and everyone play on my account? should I wait till LAN game is back? can I do that once the game is out? I read something about Stardock policy in somewhere, but now I'm unable to find it.

Yea, with the LAN version there's no specific checking.

Here's what you would want to do for a LAN game:

You'll download Demigod from Impulse when it ships. You'll have a directory like \program files\stardock games\demigod.

You would copy that onto a USB stick or whatever and then put it on the other machines on your LAN.

When they load up the game, they'll need to enter in the email address associated with your Impulse account and the CD key. Since it's on the LAN, they'll all be in the same IP range and we've instructed Impulse to accept that for Demigod.

Then you would select LAN and off you'd go.

Ok, I tried to do so before posting and the mail/serial were asked, but I had no time to check if both games could go online.

Thanks a lot ;)

You'd have to use the LAN functionality.

Lots of kudos for being cool about this.  I can imagine a lot of big company developers would never officially endorse people multiple installs of software, even if only for LAN use.  I have a lot of respect for any developer who would be reasonable about something like this.

It's great to see one of the game developers actually being sensible about copyright and fair usage :D

Just one thing. I don`t think (?) LAN will work yet with Demigod... that option is not yet available in the beta. The button is there, but its all online action for the moment, isn`t it? I could have sworn I checked that functionality with the new beta.

LAN is not available in this beta, that's why he said "You'll download Demigod from Impulse when it ships."

I know, but you specifically mentioned the beta.

Well, if the code is there you could probably disable the error message and then be able to play LAN, but the code probably isn't there.
