BTW, Stardock... Iron Clad.. THANK YOU

Maybe I'm sheltered, but the release of Entrenchment has been the best strategy game expansion release I've ever encountered. And for that I want to thank you.

So many companies release expansions for their games that cost THE SAME OR MORE THAN THE GAME ITSELF! I hate that, so thank you for making it $10. A price comparable to what you get: some extras features, new ships, better gameplay etc.

Also thank you for making it so easy to acquire (you can just download it??? WHA!)

Upon hearing about the expansion I was thinking "Man.. I'm going to go and have to look for it in the store and probably pay a bunch of money for it.."

Thank you for that pleasant surprise. Perhaps in the future others will follow your example *cough* blizzard, *cough* microsoft *cough* ea *cough*..

So three cheers for you guys working hard to bring us this awesome game.

Figured I'd best throw my hat in the ring here. I'm a bit of a harsh critic, and trust me, I've criticized plenty, but I won't include any of them here.

I agree. Three cheers. With everything taken into consideration, the fact is you put together an amazing game that makes my top 10 of all time. Top 5 actually. Keep up the good work.

I agree that IC and SD are doing a very good job (except caring to post news once every two seasons) and Sins is a great game.

But, as the SD's CEO :D said - don't be a fanboy.

Perhaps in the future others will follow your example *cough* blizzard, *cough*

Blizzard doesn't charge overly for its games nor their expansions. Entrenchment was $10 cause it still doesn't have a campaign, it gave us 1SB/race , mines and some new research. While I do agree the price is very good, it is appropriate to the content. Blizzard has the money, has the huge milk cow of dollars (wow) and can take its time forever when making games and does it right. When something costs $30 and has Blizzard on it, then you can be sure it is a high quality product worth every stupid cent of its price and that it matches all reviews found on the web (and is not a flawed, bugged and imbalanced piece of shit like Empire Total War for example).
Those games are also available digitally. Go to blizzard.com and click store.

So, summing it up:

Yay for IC&SD for a good game.
Yay for the micro expanion idea.
Yay for not selling a $10 worth expansion for $40 like THW did with Tales of Valor.

Nay for being a fanboy.

Me. Fanboy? Nay Nay. Once another game emerges that's better than this one, I'll go troll that forum and leave this one behind. Until then though, you have me, your friendly neighborhood amishman who's enjoying the game....sometimes.

It'll be a while until that happens though I'll bet. This games pretty damn good overall. It's about 95% of the way on it's path to greatness. Just needs a little more love from the Devs to get up to 99%. No game has ever reached 100%. Few ever reach 90%.

Not you, OP.

Well N3rull, Im not saying Blizzard makes bad games, in fact I quite like most of their games. I just have my own beef with them.

Ok. I get it.

I have to agree Sins is one of the first games I put on my pc anytime I have to reinstall windows, and close to the only game (besides Elder scrolls oblivion) that's been on my pc regularly for over a year now.

Over all the best thing that sets it apart form the other games/companies is:

-Being able to preoder and immediatly get access to the beta testing.

-Knowing the product won;t be shoved out the door until it's finished and 100% ready. (Unlike the crud EA likes to shove out the door)

And perhaps most importantly, NO DRM! \o/ (One of the main reasons why I'll never pirate a star dock game, aside from the quality being worth the $ of course.)

So aye, definate kudos for the best space rts since the homeworld series.

I think this fits well into this thread:

If you play this game on a 17-inch monitor through a D-sub link - shoot yourself, like I should have. I just brought home a new 22 inch monitor, launched Sins on 1680x1050 and I'm like

:omg:

:w00t:

:waaaa:

awesome.
