Which ports?

Hello, 

 

iam searching the forum, but cant find which ports i should open. iam using tcp forwarding and opened 6073. but i cannot connect to other, sometimes it works. but the main problem ist to can not complete nat translation?

somebody has a good hint?

Well Stardock said no port forwarding is required, because of Impulse. But it's still a beta, not everything is working as intended.

It uses UDP, open ports 6100 - 6200

You shouldn't need to open any ports; that is why Stardock is making this fancy system.  You won't always connect with everyone because the system is still buggy.

Hmm thanks, but i wonder why my friend can connect to the most one and me not. ok i have an router and firewall but i opened the nessessary ports, and have portforwarding.

i hope this problem is fixed in the next version, this game looks very nice =)

I got the same problem as you, can't seem to play with any other players over the multiplayer, only able to play with AI's, the moment I join a game with players it gives the 'can't establish NAT connection message', and others connecting to my game get that message aswell.

I'd recommend using the chat and state that you're having connectivity problems.  If you can never play with other players, I'm sure they want to hear from you.


Barring that, any details you can provide regarding what kind of connection you have and what hardware you're using would go a long way.

I have tried to see what was wrong and tried to fix it many times with my friends, when joining games, I have only tried joining a few games on MP though, just to see if it maybe was me and my friends problem (my friends can play without problems, unless I'm in the game) moment I saw that wasn't the case I haven't joined any MP games anymore.


Barring that, any details you can provide regarding what kind of connection you have and what hardware you're using would go a long way.

I'm from the Netherlands, 10mbit connection afaik, behind a router though which is downstairs.

I'm beginning to have the suspicion that the new system was not made with people outside the US in mind...

Unable to connect to a single game from Germany either, not even to a friends game who lives in the same town.

 

In the past, tweaking my router settings allowed me to play any game i wanted to online... now with Demigod, in its current form, it just doesn't work and we can't do anything about it ? Kinda sucks. Hard.
