Specifics of the second micro expansion

I was wondering if the devs could give us some more info about the scope of the second expansion now that entrenchment is coming out tomorrow. Generally I have heard that this is supposed to focus on the non combat side of things but just wanted some specifics. I was just interested in starting to develop ideas for the next beta.

as much as I'd like to get some info myself, I wouldn't count on it too soon. first, they will release entrenchment, then see if any adjustments are necessary, then try to port as many changes to vanilla sins that were affecting the non-exp stuff. and only then after it all settled down a bit, would they care to announce it.

we could set up a bet pot. I'd say just short of a month after entrenchment release that we'll have some sort of announcement or info on the 2nd pack. from above considerations and gut feeling.

I wonder.

If the next installment will have entrenchment features in as standard, or will be able to mix and match in future (some kind of option to run with entrenchment or normal sins) and with future expansions being the same.

from what I understood, the mini packs are all separate, so you can have the diplomacy addon without the entrenchment content if you're not into turtling. or vice versa. and the same with the 3rd one and its 'surprise'. I think the whole point was to give players customisability, so that they only need to get the features or rather feature packs that really interest them instead of being forced to accept materiel that does not interest them just to get what they are (interested in).

Are you asking whats going to be in the second x-pac or when its coming out? or both?

from what ive read and heard, I beleive the second x-pac is going to be focused on diplomacy, and an overhaul on the pirates.  Other than that I don't know what else they have in store.

but yes like what shadowhal said, you will be able to pick and choose what content you can have by choosing which x-pacs to have enabled.

What do you think how will this affect online games? "I wanna entrench!", "No, we will settle this by diplomacy", "Screw addons, I wanna play vanilla Sins"  XO

There will be 8 possible game modes...

Does this mean Diplomacy and 3rd Expansion folders in Sins folder like Entrenchment now?  And i wonder if we can run them all at the same time? Perhaps that is why the new file system to load one on top of the other? Anyway, just guessing for now. Sometimes i think a change over from Base to Expansion with no going back might be a better idea, but its just an opinion.

i was wondering if they will set up entrenchment and the other expansions to use the new modding system in sins. that is they would be stackable and able to mix and match which features you prefer sorted by priority.

Probably, and just a guess here, but I'd say soemthing needs to break the 'entrenchment'. So my guess is Super-caps.... And just to make sure it's locked into the bet pot, due out Summer of 2010.
