Would love a REAL delay on the "mouseover activation"

I've got several docks running and on each one of them I've set the mouseover activation to the slowest setting but I still don't get a real delay. Seems almost any time my mouse is in the area, the dock flies out making me wait until it disappears before I can click the actual item on the screen I was aiming at. It would be nice if the next version could have a REAL delay that's settable in tenths of seconds up to a full second or two and a less fuzzy target area so the dock would fly out ONLY when I'm really pointing to it, not just pointing in the general vicinity.

I notice the same problem on my system.  I have tried placing the dock on the side of the screen, instead of the bottom, which helps with "accidental" activation of the dock.  But it just isn't the same -- I much prefer the horizontal dock on the bottom.  The purpose of the delay is to prevent these accidental activations, but it just isn't working.  Even with the slider all the way to the right, there is no noticeable delay.

I also ran into this problem.  Big annoyance.  I was always accidentally opening up the dock when all I meant to do was click one of the browser tabs at the top of my Chrome browser.  I seems that if you just touch the edge of the screen for a millisecond and then move away, but keep the mouse within the area that the dock will eventually fill, then the dock will pop up after a bit.  This behavior is what drove me to un-install ObjectDock and install RocketDock instead.
