ship locations on minimap

I have been playing DA for a while now and i havn't yet figured out how to make ships appear on the minimap?

At first, enemy ships keept on appearing out of nowhare and wreaking havoc,,,, so to solve this problem, i've had to waste volumes of time tediously scrolling all over the map each turn. I don't see how this improves the game?

I even tried using eyes of the universe..... I noticed that the locations of ships in fog of war aspect has gone, easy enough to assume that was deliberately nerfed without needing to ask. but as for ships in visible terrain? how do i make them appear on the minimap?

In the bottom right corner of the main screen, there are a bunch of things you can toggle to be shown (or not) on the minimap. The left-most icon on the top row controls this for ships (and starbases). You can also turn on and off things like stars, planets, anomalies, influence borders/fog of war/planet population, even autopilot paths.

Yea i noticed these options, but i still couldn't figure out how to make it reveal ships? Anyhow, i will go and give it another try, thanks.

PS: the problem reminded me of the good old days in Galciv original.... any freshly revealed ships would not update on the minimap so this would result in your ships running out of turns right next to an enemy ship, suprise suprise hehehe. Except that this is a permanent denial of revealing enemy ships on the minimap (freighters seem to still show up).

Ah well, i have played around with all kinds of settings and what not around the place and still no joy on getting ships to own up on the minimap in visible terrain.

All i can do is make my own ships and stations dissapear and reapear along with about 7 Drengin assets in fog of war and 2 foreign freighters. I'm assuming the Drengin assets must be stations because they have several fleets nearby which refuse to show on the minimap. Also none of the stations or ships of any other race will appear at all on the minimap.

So i am beginning to wonder if it is a bug?

Might want to move this to the "Support and Bugs" thread.  Also, consider sending an email to support@stardock.com.  I haven't really noticed this behavior, but then I really never made much use of the mini-map, other than to check on cultural influence or look for planets to send ships to.
