Change nickname ??

My username is already :

Your Username rXp

But it is not on Demigod ?

Surely changing your nickname can't be this hard? My impulse/forum and profile all have my new nickname but join a game and there is my old nickname. Where is the option to change your nickname that appears ingame? surely this should be your profile name?

Log in here at teh forums. Go to options - Login. Make a new login nick - the one that u want. Then log into Demigod with it

It shows my new nickname in the forum and irc ok. When I login at demigod I use my new nickname which is accepted ok but then down in the bottom left hand corner it says logged in as "old nickname". I go to join a game and it shows my old nickname!

There is something not right here, you login with one name but it says you are logged in with another, very confusing.

Like I said why is it so hard to change your name? Why can you not just change your name in one place and it changes it everywhere?

I saw in beta 3a you have to write your nickname. I hope this fixes the problems with changed names. I used to have another name, which was also shown both.

yes i have the same problem, when u change name it only change skrimish and login in name but it diesnt change in game name, so in anything online i got old nick

I can't believe there is no way to change your nickname, unless this is down to some kind of bug.

This hasn't been fixed in the latest update. I login to the internet within Demigod with my current username but then in the bottom left hand corner it says "Logged in as oldusername"!

We are aware of this happening, and actually it is working as it should. First time you log in to the game, you use your Stardock Nickname. Now that Nickname gets entered as the 'player name' within the game. They had to do it this way because there is no 'edit' feature for your 'player name' (re:Nickname) yet... the plan is to have multiple 'player names' that you will choose before entering a game. Devs are working on this now.

Thanks for the information highlander, good to know somethings being worked on for this issue. Once you can create and choose your player it'll make a lot more sense. Right now it's a bit confusing to login with one name and then see its using a completly different name.

The latest Demigod update fixes this issue.  If you change your Impulse name, it is now reflected correctly as your in-game handle.  Thanks Devs!

Yessss ... Thanxxx ! I had been whining & bitching about that since mid-March (beta).

At last, I have my very own game name, and I'm not stuck with my 58-year-old dad's lame nick.
