Future of Sysmetrix

Sysmetrix is no longer maintained.. hasn't been for several years. I found it very useful on Windows XP but it doesn't work reliably on Vista (Net meter and loading new skins). I wonder if Stardock or a group of our great skinners might take it over and keep it going? Hate to see a great program wither away.

I agree. Wish I could skin.

DX Widgets and gadgets can do the same functions as sysmetrix.

I loved sysmetrix but development petered off, with items like widgets and gadgets coming about, possibly the intrest with sysmetrix decreased.

I could not really see anyone picking it up and starting development back up with all the available and already inplace items that do essentially the same function. tho I have been mistaken before;)

Yeah, I uninstalled mine a few weeks ago, because I hadn't used it for ages. :)

It's still a proggy I have on the desktop all the time.....keeps me up to speed with 'important stuff'...;)

I switched over to Samurize. It's very easy to skin but the skin's aren't as portable as Sysmetrix.

I use it all the time. It's much better than any widget/gadget/bodgit or whatever they are. It's easy to skin and it works with no fuss.

Maybe someone should buy it and develop it.

I have had and relied on it for six years. Wouldn't be without it. Check out "SATIATION (vertical)" by skinnalicious, The main one I use since it was published. I've changed more buttons and meters and gears and lights and bells, whistles and steam/lightning bolts...it's a fun app and easily customised by novices. I've missed and needed updates for years, hope somebody steps up. I'll definitely be watching this thread... :borg: *_*
