What do you think of these skinning set-up's

I must admit I am a bit of a 'neat freak' and I like minimilistic set-ups. I came across these two which I thought worth sharing with you.

I like the 'looks' too, John. As a matter of interest what would you find as 'unusable'? |-)

pretty sharp looking desktops, the first one (enigma) being my pick of the 2

it's mostly a Samurize config.......

I've been using Samurize for a couple years now and I love it.......it's very easy to skin FOR YOURSELF........It's a bit of a pain to produce skins for other people tho....

Many of the meters are computer specific and a "user" would need to have a familiarity with samurize to get it to work for them.

Rainmeter is much the same, without the built in editor that Samurize has............I've only attempted a few basic config's with rainmeter.

would you find as 'unusable'?
End of quote

Well, I dont see a taskbar (Manditory for me) I dont see desktop icons, (also manditory for me) and the desktop is cluttered up with things I have no use for (shown constantly) or things I can find at the click of a mouse.

My desktop is my workspace, I dont need weather, news, hard drive space, etc showing 24\7.

Great for a screeny, useless as a work environment.

I tried the Samurize prog a while back and enjoyed experimenting with it too, Lantec.

I see, John. Fair enough |-)

both are quite nice, for my taste way too much cluttered up with sys and other info. Not really minimal... but I dig the clock of enigma
