I want to apologize for being a whiner and throwing a pity party for myself and being jealous.  The truth of the matter is, if I were a little more self centered and looked out for myself first, I would have a lot more than I do.  The fact is, I choose to support the people I've been supporting, in the manner in which they are accustomed, and that's more important to me than a laptop.  Sometimes I forget that.

That being said, y'all have some fantastic desktops! :)

If I didn't need it for work, we'd all be sharing my daughter's computer...which is so old it's running Windows 98.  But, it does run, and I know people who don't even have that...have to go to the library to use a computer or the internet.  When I look at it that way, I'm the rich bastard.

While generosity and kindness are not traits to be disparaged (nor discouraged), there's is absolutely nothing wrong with spoiling yourself a little from time to time.  While you might not need an extravagant US$40k setup, getting a system that makes you happy will go a long way towards improving your outlook and general attitude, which directly benefits those you support.

In addition, the fact that some people own more than others does not necessarily mean that they're self-centered and/or selfish.  They may earn more and work harder, or manage their finances better.  They may indeed be as generous as you are. ;P

In fact, one of the most giving and nicest people I know had a complete top end 64bit system with Vista Ultimate given to her by a friend who happened to own a computer store.  She was speechless and obviously terribly thankful.

Well, if you had, you would understand. ;) Having a dual monitor set up does a lot to improve efficiency and productivity, especially for folks who work with professional applications that require a lot of your attention and a lot of screen space, such as graphic designers (i.e. moi), or video editors, etc.

Aside from that, it just looks so damn cool, not to mention that it's great for gaming!  :w00t:

LOL Well dear, if I ever sprout an extra head, I'll keep that in mind:thumbsup:

I used to have a dual monitor system.I loved it! There are some dual monitor skins I made at http://puterdudejim.wincustomize.com    I miss my dual system! It was hard to give up! I especially loved the ability to stretch one wall across both monitors.
