BootSkin on Win 7

I believe you mind find interesting to know that BootSkin Pro after installation and application of for ex. the nebula picture will make Windows 7 NOT to boot up, can not enter even F8 menu.

Full system reinstall is only way to fix this.

(btw Logon Studio Vista works perfectly on Windows 7)

Just be happy you discovered it isnt vista in a new shiny skin :D

This would be accurate as Botskin was not built for W7. as would be most of the software here, Until W7 is released I would not expect to find any supported software..

You got it quite wrong - I am not complaining in regards to Vista BootSkin Pro not being compatible with Windows 7 beta (build 7000), that would be redicilous.

I am just warning people who like to try new things, like me, that installing BootSkin Pro on Win7 beta will kill your system.

One got to learn form past, and since I've done it - why not to share it :-)

Cheers

Heh.  I don't think that anyone was thinking you were complaining.  It looks like well-intentioned fun.

Thanks for the report though.  A good warning for anyone that thought about giving it a try.

I hope this means the boot scheme is different and will allow animation on Win7.

It is very likely, problem appears as black screen at the moment when animated win7 screen is supposed to load. What I don't understand is why win7 does not ignore that but somehow blocks rest of OS loading, including entering "safe mode" option, witch makes undoing and finding what's wrong near impossible.

I would be more than happy to try and test anything for you, just mail me or simply reply.

Forgive the ignorance but is this w7, windows internet explorer 7 beta version that windows are currently trying out, because that would explain why mine doesnt work on it. If so how do you uninstall this w7, have tried but not worked it out yet.

Win 7 I was talking about stands for Microsoft Windows 7 Beta build 7000 witch is awalible for free at Microsoft.com site.

With "Win 7" comes windows internet explorer 8 beta.

If you have problems uninstalling internet explorer 7 beta, kindly contact technical support of your windows provider. That would most likely be company you have order your PC form, or Microsoft itself if you did order your copy form them.
