The one feature thats missing from GalCiv but is in Civ IV
Firstly I have UE so still using 1.97, if this has been added to version 2 then great, if not WHY NOT!
In both games a real time clock can be displayed on screen but Civ IV also has a ALARM.

Ummm I believe Walmarts sells alarm clocks why don't you go buy one of them. Be cheaper than coding one into the game. ![]()
LOL the one feature ...
sorry guy but to each his own ![]()
That's not the only feature missing.
Civ4 is designed with the intention to minimise unnecessary micromanaging (e.g. no more whack the mole pollution cleaning). It has screens which at a glance, you can tell which wonders have been built in which city and which techs can be traded with other civs. GalCiv2 lacks these conveniences. I can't even tell whether I get any trade goods bonuses or not unless I manually add up all the various percentages (from civ bonus, tech bonus, etc) or unless I own the planet.
Why do you need an alarm clock for Galciv, just set your own alarm clock, and if you need to have an alarm clock within a game, than have better discipline when playing games by learning to keep track of time yourself. I mean Galciv2 is a turn based game, not like C&C or starcraft 2, so between each turns, take a look at your watch or clock to keep track of the time. Don't worry, the Dregin will wait for you to hit the turn button before they do any invading.
