How did you pick your screen name

How did you pick your screen name

I was looking at some submissions for the GUI's when I thought to myself, "What made them think of that screen name?"From that thought and many like it, I decided to start this thread to enlighten others who might be asking themselves the same question.

So, if you could please share with the community how you chose your screen name, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'll start, My husband's name is Brian so, inevitably I am Brysgirl!(I'm sure the science behind that was mind-boggling)

You think you're the master, then oneday you realize they've lulled you into a false sense of security, and you are in fact, just a drone :D

well back in the day i used to play AOE  on MSN's Game Zone...  I had the name Zone_Dot_Com as my username.. but eventually I was asked to change my name becuase they didn't want me to mislead people that i was a Zone Sysop for MSN, I refused and was eventually banned untill I created a new account with a new name...  I changed it to GooGooGaaGaa because of all the whiner sysops on MSN... everyone called me Goo after that so i tried to change my user name to Goo, but someone already had it so I eventaully found The__Goo...

That depends on the cat.  My cat learns tricks from the dog, and the dog, of course, learns the tricks from me (or sometimes she SELLS me tricks she wants me to set up for her - kind of that "Look what I can do! What'll ya give me for it?" thing).  In my house, the whole human/animal organization is a bureaucracy.

I see how that is, the aminals run it, and you just play along...lol I love my babies, and they, in turn, let me live in my own place...or is that because I feed them, and make sure the have clean litter boxes...I dunno.

Immy, the guiding principle is:

Dogs jump up on the bed because they love you. Cats jump up on the bed because it's comfortable.

Now then, do you have any more questions? ;)

My cats are all over the kitchen table the bastards :( lol

I can't stop them, unless I don't let them in, but we all know that's not an option [X-treme fear face now], after that dream I had of Big Mikey [my 13 kilo cat] causing an earthquake with his growling because I wasn't opening his cat food tins as fast as he'd of liked, I'm not gonna mess with my cats.. for I am------------------->Owned.. or in l33t? PNWED? :pout:

Holy sh!te, I forgot my cats know how to use tne Internet, what if they log on and read that I called them bastards?

I'll risk it, but if I'm not back, you know I'm in trouble :ninja:

Check for static mats. Petco used to sell them. They plug in, and creat static that cats absolutely hate. Balloons work too...well, at least in cribs. My two decided they were going to sleep in my babies crib, so i put balloons in there. Stopped real fast. ;)

It wouldn't work on mine, I was trying to grow a vegie garden once, and the cats would sleep under the cauliflour leaves, and crap in the garden, so I got some stuff that was meant to keep cats away, called.. Stay Away.. wow that was original of them :D , my cat [Merlin, from a decade ago] walks up to one of those stay away pills, EATS IT, then takes a dump on the broccoli :\

Aw, poor Merlin... was only trying to help out with a bit of fertiliser and he gets into trouble. ;P

He was an awesome cat starkers, totally more of a dog than a cat, he couldn't bury his own poo, the other cats did it for him, and he couldn't catch a mouse for s***, he'd take them off the other cats

Sounds like Merlin knew how to run things. Why do it myself, when someone else will! Smart cat!!!

There were no flies on Merlin... and you couldn't see where they'd been... he had those land on other cats. :-"

The only problem with Merlin was he use to get lost in the fog of a morning, and every morning at about 5am, he'd be meowing and I'd have to walk into the fog, search for, and rescue him ^_^

Eons ago when I started attending Sci-Fi conventions the registration had a space for "Your Name" then another for "Badgename".

Being a certified weird person I filled in the second space, as requested, with BADGENAME.

It stuck, and I've been that ever since.

Well my mind was on clean thoughts, cats, :meow:  very clean animals :)

I guess it went astray, the topic, but not really, since my screename, is partially one of my cats names.. and a few other people as well have used their cats for screenames.

mine comes from my hippie days when i used to partake in great amounts of the chronic tonic, Nimbin being a town in australia where this product is tolerated and openly sold and consumed. hence it's my favourite town in the whole country and why my nickname is Nimbin :)
