LogonStudio doesn't work at all

Hi,

I've installed the latest logon studio, downloaded some skins imported them, no problem so far...

BUT if I apply any logon the specified screen it doesn't come up!!! Instead the old 98/Millenium logon comes up. You know the "Unlock the computer Username and Password" window. If I restore the default logon everything looks like nothing had happened...

Pls post any ideas  O:)

Thank you for your help

PS: XP SP2

Officially Login Studio has not been updated for several years and is no longer supported. Many users have stated that it simply will not work on their system. At this point it really is just a "works or it does not" free application. There are several work arounds that you can try but please be careful because as I said it is not a supported program.

Really?

Snipped this directly from the product page about Object Desktop Ultimate;

  • LogonStudio
    Allows Windows Vista users to edit, change, and apply new logon screens. Comes with a built in visual editor to make it easy to create your own logons. (Supported on Windows Vista 32-bit & 64-bit)
  • End of quote

    And following that link says that XP users can change their login... So officially it does seem very supported to me...

    To clarify the Vista version is supported but the XP version is not. This is unless it gets a major update, but there are no plans to at this time.

    The website refers to both possible downloads in a blanket statement. I will ask the web developers to update this information to remove the confusion.

    go into user accounts and under the change the way users log on or off choose show the welcome screen

    and if you're on a domain LS won't work
