Right clicking on a photo and saving it..

Hay all, For some reason in my past Article about "Do you have to be apart of a click", which I want to say right off the bat thank you for all the feed... But some people I wont mention didn't know you "can right click and take any picture you want".. I am sure able to do this, and don't see any reason why others wouldn't be able to do this too. This is why I put Demo on my pictures, which some didn't seem to think was cool, but don't understand since you can see the picture clearly, and if you don't understand it's a demo shot and you have to download, well maybe those people should just say pass!!! Because when I was not getting comments, I thought to my self "what not a better way to get people to say something in comments let alone get your download mark then to have them stop and give you the downloads you deserve.. I think we all should tell Stardock/wincustomize just that, there should be no way for others just to take a quick look see and take your photo with out downloading.. This is easy to do since html and Java etc is all I used to do at one time, and no reason for it to be on if we are going to need those or why simply even have a counter on "downloading"?...Also, you do not have to be on a person's "personal" page to see the "main picture" they voted on, you are able to see all of their creations through Stardock Central...so, I don't quite understand why some would say that they can only see my one wallpaper that was voted on.. In conclusion, how do you all feel about being able to "right-click" and take a picture, I say out with it and on with the downloading, or why have it? Rico Suav'e... Peace Out....

If all you care about is download/comment count, why bother uploading anything at all if that's your single motivation? Spare the gallery your "10 min creations" and create a deviantart account where you'll get a bunch of comments and no moderation.

Would also be a lot easier to make sense out of your posts if they were more carefully articulated and planned out paragraphs. They all seem to be a run-on of a bunch of different and random nonsense and complaints.

Well Bebi, with the following quote of what is listed under interests on his personal site, I wouldn't waste another breath on this one.  "The people in here are in one BIG click, they all vote for one another, but not for the person who really works hard. I am done with this place...".  Bye-bye DUDE!  No tears shed hear.

For quite some time this was disabled on WC and only led to a white screen.  I see it has been reversed.

and I now agree that this is a very prudent move on your behalf to safeguard your downloads.

The only potential problem I could foresee....is that the mods....seeing 'the DEMO' splashed across your walls...may be waiting on the real thing...

'damaging' the preview image with the word 'demo' is more likely to see your submission rejected or at best relegated to your personal pages.

There IS no issue with right-click/saving vs normal download, certainly not in a "safeguard" sense.

Your uploads are accessible to the public either way, as is your theoretical intent by their very existence here.

The preview image is typically a 'smaller' resolution whereas the file download [archive] would contain the other/larger sizes...;)

I think Jafo really explains it the best here. The intent of the site is to make your work available for download by the public. Otherwise, the devs could easily block right-click downloading; it's a matter of using one or more of dozens of easily-available scripts in different scriptiing languages.

I can see when I am wrong and I stand corrected.
