The beta won't be available for a little while longer. We don't have an official set date for it.

After the 1.1 being rescheduled, I'd imagine they won't post a release date to keep from upsetting people.

I hope they still give an estimate as to when it MIGHT be available so people know when to check impulse. Every gamer is used to anticipated games being pushed back, it is just that they are used to hearing about it much sooner.  I thought the 18th seemed like a sure thing. I guess not having to worry about CD duplication gives them more freedom to make those decisions later which is understandable.

You won't need to check Impulse, you'll get an email saying "Hey we finally charged you, and btw here's your serial #" ;) That's when you know you can hop on and download it.

Preordered in September, November 18th release date not met and then told the release will first be Beta not the full version and then no date for that.  Unimpressed?  Angry!

I had been impressed with the way that the developers had been listening to what gamers would like to see and then developing the game along those lines, but they have let themselves down with the Entrenchment release debacle.

I've worked in IT.  Delays happen.

They could be going down the EA road and releasing a bunch of half finished crap as a $30 expansion only to do it again two weeks later (I'm looking at you Sims), but they aren't.
