Lot of Problems

There are several problems with GC2 ToA!!

When I  try to build the Aphrodisiaks the game is hanging.

After 150 or 200 moves there  is a problem - game can't finish the move! I can fix it with save -Load this save - esc - esc. Then repeat the move. Not too bad but i can see this problem each 3 - 10 moves (Most often in Immense galaxy).

Gamecrushing after the spy use, saving the Ship design and move are not rare.

PPS I can't search my problems in forum because I don't know what words to search.

Your problem with the Aphrodesiac project sounds like you have something wrong with your installation. I build that in almost every game and have never had a problem across many updates and both expansion packs.

The turn processing problem makes me suspect you are playing on an older computer that might not quite meet the recommeneded system paramters for GC2. I played for a long time on a PC that was technically too wimpy, and processing turns late in the game on the largest maps ended up taking many, many minutes (like enough time to go do a light chore or cook a small snack).

If you copy and past the contents of your debug.err file here, smarter folks than me can probably tell you if your hardware is your main problem. Where your debug.err file is stored varies by operating system--it is in Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor on Windows Vista, but I'm afraid I forget the path for Windows XP.

Maybe, i had few problems with installation and I had never this problem before.

1024 Mb DDR2

Pentium (R) dual (2x1.6GhZ)

512 Mb Videoadapter

WinXP SP2 (Don't Want to install SP3).

 

And, well. I can tell a long move from the error move.

Sometimes i need nearly 20-25 seconds for a turn. During the wright turn the camera moves are scrappy and slow, but during the fail move the camera moves a smooth and quick, but Move button is inactive. I understand that it because of size of the galaxy. But i still have hope that there is possibilities to repair it...

 

but I'm afraid I forget the path for Windows XP.

Sometimes i need nearly 20-25 seconds for a turn. During the wright turn the camera moves are scrappy and slow, but during the fail move the camera moves a smooth and quick, but Move button is inactive. I understand that it because of size of the galaxy. But i still have hope that there is possibilities to repair it...

about your turns taking a long time well ...

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2330 @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs)

=> the processor isn't that good,  first it's from the Core 2 Duo family but it's only at 1.6Ghz which is very low, and it's cache is severely limited to 1MB only which hurt games. though I don't know how well(or bad) it's supposed to run galciv2 given that the Core2Duo architecture is quite good in itself

 

Also I'm not quite sure since I didn't fully understand your post but it seems you're using AA in the game, you might want to decrease AntiAliasing to 0, if the game isn't fluid enough...

Well, no. The game is fluid enough for me. Problems only with this bugs.

You should register and update your game to the latest version(currently 2.0) with Impulse and see if that solves some of your issues. Also 2.0 contains the updated manual for TA.

One question. I installed Game after reparing of the Notebook. But on my PC this game is working perfectly (installed and checked 5 minutes ago). And on my notebok it worked perfectly before. Several days ago there began game crushes. After the Afrodisiak builded, during the game starting and loading. For some time it stoped but not for long. Reinstaling don't help. Could there be any reasons in my notebook's system for all this crushes???
