Can I use the Dread Lord ship style?

I would like to use the Dread Lord ship style with a custom race. How can I select their ship style? Also, is it possible for me to add new templates to the dread lords without erasing the ones they already have? I'd like to add Shadow looking ships from B5 to their ship style.

Not in the base game, however this is possible through mods. KHSM will give you the Dread Lord models. For the B5 stuff, you would need to look into the Babylon 5 mod.
