I can't install IconPackager 4 on Vista64

I'm trying to install IP4 on a fresh install Windows Vista 64 but I always get the same installation error.
I downloaded it from Stardock.

==========

Error

Cannot create the directory
'C:Users\...........\Temp\mia924F.tmp\IconPackager.exe'. A file with this name already exists. Please rename or remove the file and click retry, or click Cancel to exit.

==========

The installation is absolutelly stupid since it prevents itself from installation. It creates IconPackager.exe and then it says it cannot create it!

A solution please.

alphaprior please send an email to support@stardock.com with enough details regarding this error.  Include information regarding your OS and SP level along with any information contained in the Windows error log.

MrsLesnick what sort of problem are you having with MyColors?  You can't install it at all or you are having problems with a theme?

Ok MrsLesnick,

I don't recognize this problem and I'm not sure what is causing it.  I'm thinking you should send in a ticket to support@stardock.com, include your OS version and SP level the AV software you use any windows error log info and a description of the problem.  I'm sure they will want to fix this problem and get MyColors working for you.

You will receive an auto-response shortly after you send your email, check your spam folder.  Make a note of the ticket number and wait for a written response from someone.  Do not send in multiple emails as this will just drop you to the bottom of the list.

If you don't get a written response within a few days just create a post with your ticket number and ask for assistance from support.

Hi there! Bringing this up as this problem seems to (still!) exist.

I had IP 4,2 installed, and now i decided to upgrade to version 5. So i downloaded the public version (5,1) from the site, and it gives this very error.

Is there any solution? Installing via Impulse does not seem to help as i don't see the free/public IP there for download.

EDIT:

So, after some more research i've managed to fix this. The problem lies in the installer that Stardock uses. On the forums of the installer there are several posts with this error, and a fix for that is just to rename, move or delete IconPackager.exe from the temp folder listed on the error window. Then the installation continues |-)
