Are DA designs affected in Arnor?

I noticed that some of the base hull designs, ie, "terran cargo 3" or "yor small 1", all those, have been modified to look better for Arnor.

My question is, let's say I used a blocky base hull with lots of angular surfaces to build a huge battleship around, now that those flat surfaces are gone and have become smooth or rounded, is this going to cause the parts that I made my battleship from and attached to those flat surfaces to get all screwed up?

Or better yet, are DA designs even usable in Arnor?

I remember seeing a post about one of the star trek ship packs saying that they would not like like they should in DA but not actually looked to see what actually happens.

If you try copying over designs that use parts that were updated, they'll be "different". Whether it's unnoticeable or completely mangled really depends on which parts it used.

Some people have gone as far as to rename all the new parts and put the old ones back, but I'm not aware offhand of any released mods to do that.
