Not Working on Vista...

Winlogon dll?

Hi everyone,

I was running multiplicity pro on 3 boxes.

2 Desktops (one with Vista Ultimate SP1 and one with XP Pro SP3) and 1 notebook (Vista Home Premium SP1) ... all 32 bits.

Last weekend I've formated the notebook, reinstalled everything and... Multiplicitiy just won't work!

The winlogon dll doesn't load, and no port is opened (netstat -na | find "30654")

Uninstalled e reinstalled several times... Vista is updated

Ah, another thing, UAC is disabled, firewall is disabled and Windows Defender is disabled (I love security :P)

Any ideas?

might want to email support@stardock.com

Until then though:

  • How did you install?
  • What versions of MP on each PC?
  • Does it not work with one PC but with the others?
  • Have you switched primaries to secondaries?

Hi Zubaz,

well...

I've installed through Stardock Central, uninstalled and installed through the exe I've used before...

Well... i'm at work now, so I cannot see the version, but is the last available on SDC

The primary is fine, and the other secondary too... only the notebook is not working...

No, I have not switched primaries to secondaries (this changes anything?)

Reinstalled Vista and all the software...

Same problem...

Closed multiplicity, stopped the service...

started the service, started multiplicity...

now it's working... >_>
