windows blinds will not start any more

I installed the trial version of windowsBlinds yesterday (running vista) and liked what I saw but when I try it out again this morning I get this message

 

This machine must be rebooted after installing this version of wb6

 

If you have rebooted and still get this message, you may need to disable any registry protection/anti-spywear apps you have and reinstallwindows blinds as they may be incorrectly preventing the install.

 

 

I've tried turning off Kaspersky Internet security 2009 but still get the same message. I would try reinstalling WindowsBlinds but as it's a trail version I'm not sure if it'll work and there's no way I'm buying this if it doesn't even install properly.

This problem has come up before and is currently being seen by several people.  I think your best bet is to email support@stardock.com and see what they say.

This is something Neil will need to look into. It only seems to effect the Trial Version. Might be due to the recent "update Tuesday" Microsoft updates.

I decided to do something nuts and buy the software (I went for the bundle option) Seems to be working as I've rebooted a couple of times with no problems.

There was a known issue with the trial.  IT should be repaired now.
