Value versions & registration?

So recently at target I was bored and bought one of those 'minimum packaging' $10 deal copies of Space Rangers 2... I'd like to register it to my account, but it did not come with a serial number, so how do I go about doing this?

Any ideas would be great!

A year goes by with no reply, but I'm in somewhat of the same bind.

I want to ditch StarForce and make my copy 'legal' to StarDock/Impulse, but can't register it because the game doesn't come with a serial number or CD key I can send in.  I recently bought the expansion (Reboot) and wanted to play it, but can't because I can't get Impulse to install the game in the right place.  I get 4 files in my C: drive, and that's it - 2 3kb files and 2 2mb files.  I download 860MB for an expansion that doesn't appear anywhere?  If I take the 4 files that appear there and move them to the Space Rangers 2 directory, the game refuses to load.  No errors, no issues... the .exe appears for a couple seconds in the Task Manager and then unloads itself.

If I get anywhere, I'll post back here with results.

Improved searching: Space Rangers 2, Reboot, no cd key, install problems, store bought media

You can only register games on impulse if the dev/publisher has provided Stardock with a list of valid keys.  If there is no key, then there is no way to register it on Impulse.

What Iceman said. Currently no one has taken us up to let us register retail keys. The only way around this would be to purchase the Impulse version.
