System requirements?

I tried to find the system requirements and couldn't find them.  Will my 2 year old dell lattitude D610 work laptop be able to play this game?

My Dell D610 is Pentium 2.0Ghz, 2gb ram, Intel chipset graphics card.   The only thing I worry about is the graphics card requirement since i have the cheap intel built in graphics card.   I'm able to use it to play WoW and Red Alert 3 beta.

I don't want to end up preordering and not be able to play the game.

Yeahhh.  Intel integrated = bad..

It would probably be a good idea for the devs to list some minimum system specs somewhere, even if they are likely to change before release.

There's nothing official because it's a beta but here's my guess:

Dual Core CPU (or maybe high end single core)

Pixel Shader 3.0 vid card

1gb (2gb highly recommended)

I don't think 2gb will make a difference.  The game currently requires about 200MB, IIRC. And inwdows xp takes like 200-250mb itself.  More ram doesn't make your computer faster.  IT only slows it down when you dont' have enough.

i'd recommend 2gb though because ram is about $20 per 2gb..

I hadn't checked the game's actual mem usage but was just going by general industry trends.

That amount of memory usage is pretty impressive though.

Honestly, if your lappy can run the RA3 beta, it might be worth it to check and see if it runs Demigod.

Probably won't run it GREAT, but if it has pixel shader 2.0, then it should atleast start.

at present there is no shader model  two support - which is why there are about 50 posts from people complaining about invisible demigods. Maybe the final product will have sm2 fallbacks, but the devs haven't said anything about this.

Starcraft 2 coming out next year willl have pixel shader 2 support.  I hope this game will have it too if they want to appeal to the mass market.

I was really expecting Pixel Shader 2 support, since they've been saying they want the game to be MORE optimized than supcom, not less.  Plus, my X800 card is no slouch, and handles supcom just fine.

so your X800 card can't play demigod smoothly right now?    I think they will add ps2 support soon.

I just found out about Demigods a few days ago, but until JUST now I haven't seen any media for it...and I'm in looovve.

I JUST ordered a new computer and I was wondering if it would be able to run Demigods at all. It should be able to run Crysis without so much as a hick-up, but that game will be almost a year and a half old by the time this godly game comes out. So tell me...Yay or Nay?

Intel Core 2 Q6600 Quad-Core (8MB L2 cache,2.40GHz)

4 GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM

Dual nVidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB

Windows Vista Premium

Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound Card

And what is this Pixel Shader 3.0? How vital is it to play the game? And if it is, where can I get it?

And I'm assuming by the stunning graphics that you'll need dx10 correct?

Intel Core 2 Q6600 Quad-Core (8MB L2 cache,2.40GHz) fine.

4 GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM fine.

Dual nVidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB fine.

Windows Vista Premium better be an x64 version otherwise you won't get access to all the RAM.

Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound Card fine.

And what is this Pixel Shader 3.0? How vital is it to play the game? And if it is, where can I get it? it's part of the card, you've already got it. don't concern yourself anymore about it.

And I'm assuming by the stunning graphics that you'll need dx10 correct? no.

all-in-all, that machine will play DG and every other game under the Sun 'til your hearts content.

gah! curse the lack of a working edit button.

Thief; i play with 1 8800GT (and it's *cringes* a 256MB one) and only 1.5GB RAM, with max settings (but no AA) on 1280x1024 and i reach the game-limited framerate of 100fps.

*sigh of relief* Thank you Bullet.

I know it's a good gaming computer, I just wanted to make SURE I'd be able to play DG after all the kinks are out of it.
