Impulse and UAC on Vista

Both on Vista 32bit and 64bit Impulse gives an error that it cannot make the necessary temp-folders, when I have User Account Control activated. Even when I say OK in the UAC notification that its allowed to continue, it doesn't run the app then.

Do I turn UAC off, the error doesnt appear and Impulse does load.

Has anybody seen this same behaviour? I have it both on Vista 32 and 64 bit, nothing special, 2 machines.

regards Edmond

I had a similar issue, however I never received notification that certian items werent being installed, instead the programs would not apply full themes, skins, ect. and would show some aspects of the program as simply not installed.

What solved the problem for me was to uninstall impulse and all object desktop programs, then reinstall impulse BUT right click impulse icon to run as administrator for the first time. install all programs from within impulse and you should be okay....hopefully.

they have said they have tested vista and uac accounts to make sure this is not necessary but it still seems to be necessary for some reason for some users.

Markharper80,

Thats the fix, if one doesn't want to turn off UAC.
