So I just bought the game and i type in my user name and password and the "cd key" whatever that is and all i get is disconnect every time i try to log in. Any one know what i might be doing wrong?
Does it say "wrong version of ironclad online" ?
If so, that means you need to update your game version. Retail is v1.0 You should be able to download v1.05 by going to the main menu in-game and hitting "update".
Patch 1.05 is the current game-build. There is a BETA for version 1.1 (v1.09) out, but you'll need to install IMPULSE (stardock's new distribution system) from www.impulsedriven.com in order to patch to that version including all future patches.

I'm having the same issues as well. Get all my info and that pain in the butt Cd key in 
, hit enter and it comes up with a network error everytime. I've got myself v1.05 and i've checked impulse for v1.1 which as far as i can tell is yet to be released... so i'm kinda standing here going wtf =(.
I've turned my firewall off (mercy plea don't hack me =D) and nothing has changed... so i think it might just be my uni's firewall but they made recent changes to it which i would think wouldn't be a problem. I'll try it from a different location this weekend, but in the meantime anyone got any other ideas about what might be the problem?
Also anyone able to tell me what the game is like in MP. Dying to try it online!
In Impulse, hit the blue orb and check "Show pre-release versions" and you'll be able to see the 1.095 patch.
