Problems loading skins Please help

OK Just downloaded and installed WB 6.20 onto my computer and setup works smoothly. After reboot I go to new WB and try to apply a skin (all skins are visible and have previews). When applying new skin it renders windows classic. I have reinstalled it twice with different downloads and have gotten the same problem both times.

this is my system information

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.2 (build 61 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX

any help would be appreciated I have search this in forums and have not found a fix for this issue

oops sorry 'bout that. :p I'm not using impulse and I'm using Windows XP professional SP 2 (i'm not sure I may have SP3)
I downloaded straight from the stardock site. Would impulse help?

We need more about your system there. Thus OS and Anti-Virus and Firewall. Any Anti-Spy and/or process guard type of programs.
And how was this installed - via Impulse or SDC ?
Also are you using a trial version?

Impulse would have the latest version and any future updates would be available there.  Good idea to install Impulse and use it.  ;)

downloaded it through the link given in email also using Mcafee and now that it is updated I can't download through impulse

Does Impulse show you any updates as being available?
