Thinking of Purchasing the whole Galciv2 pack on Impulse, quick question:

I looked in the Impulse FAQ but there wasn't anything about this in there:

Q. If I purchase a game over Impulse then will I need to download it every time I need to install it or can I just download the setup/install files and install it on my machine?

I'm asking this because I live in a backwater country that has a monopolised broadband industry with absurd download limits at exorbitant prices. I cannot download gigs and gigs a month so a one time download option would best suit me as update patches wouldn't be too much of a bother usually... So do I only download the game data files once and burn to a cd myself or do I have to download them again every time I want to install the game?

Once you have initially downloaded the game you can backup the install files to your machine or a external media. If you then need to re-install the game later on you can just use the backup you created.

It should also be noted that you still will use Impulse to back up your archives. But you don't have to re-download them.

It's been a while since I played GalCiv II.  In fact it was a whole computer ago.  So naturally I want to play Twilight of the Arnor.  And I have no problem buying TWOA directly from the site.  I plan to do so Wednesday, my next payday.

But um...."digital download only"?

Is there no way I can get TWOA on disc?  At all? :(

Here is my question being new and all, where are the install files to back up to my external hard drive?

How to you use Impluse to back up file because I  don't want to bloody wait 28 hours to down load my three GC2 games again?

Just right click on the game in Impulse and choose Archive.

Thank you again.

I went and I check it out and found it, then right click it and the menu came up but it says down load and archive.

You are always there when I need help.

About my two empire thingy I submit a e-mail to stardock support.

Fingers crossed they are
