Uninstalling Demo

Hi guys,

Just bought the retail version of Sins after having played the demo. Stupidly I did not unistall the demo before I installed the retail version. Now I cannot uninstall the demo because it tells me to uninstall the "later version of Sins". I'm thinking that I'm going to have to manually uninstall the demo, so I need to know which registry entries the demo creates so I can uninstall it.

Also, when the retail reached the end of copying files to my HDD, it showed an error that it could not find the Sins_of_a_solar_empire_setup.msi in the temp folder. I clicked cancel and the installer completed, showing me that it had encountered a fatal error. However, the game still appears to run fine. Will this cause me any problems?

You may want to try uninstalling both the game and demo, and reinstalling the full game.

I don't know if you'll actually have any problems, though.

Incidentally, I found that I was completely unable to install the full version of the game without uninstalling the demo. I got a similar "fatal error" but it occured before the installer even began to copy files. My advice to anyone; uninstall the demo before you try to do anything with the full version!
