Sins download not starting

So I got this impulse thing because they say I need to get the beta. OK. I install it, things are looking good, now it's just sitting there saying "download starting" for like half an hour. I get the feeling it's never starting. What is wrong with it?

Also when I installed impulse it took the liberty of adding this annoying line thing to my program bar that's trying to be like a a mac. How do I make it not do that?

Restart Impulse and see if it resets.

On the dock, right click and you can turn it off.

I switched it to the "new download method" thing and it worked. yay.

This has helped most people, more so if you have a proxy server to go through. If you still have troubles please give the full version a try.
