Having a problem with Wallpapers

Having a problem with Wallpapers

Really I tried, honest, you can believe me. ;)

I have different wallpapers set up for each desktop, 1,2 and 3.

They show fine in the task bar with the wallpaper that I applied.

When I select either VD 2 or 3 the wallpaper is not getting applied to the desktop.  In fact it stays the same desktop as shown in 1 with all the widgets and gadets and objects that I have opened.

I know it is trying to apply the wallpaper.  How, I'm using the Diamond WindowBlind, if I select VD 2 or 3  I can see the wallpaper through the taskbar.  It's just not changing the desktop.

Under display options all boxes are marked.  Under each desktop the custom wallpaper is set to scaled.  Under advance Mode 1 is checked.  No applications are locked.  I also didn't mess with Exclusions.

There has to be some other item that is controlling this.  Could it be the wallpaper selection under WBs?

Usiually I can stumble into the fix for these things but this has got me stumped.  Any ideas?

I'm running XP Home, Object Desktop Utilmate, Object Dock Plus, Impulse.................. ;)

Odock wants to appear even using the exclusion

gadget appears also

okay.. I get it... the exclusions are to keep replicas of running apps from being virtually duplicated

ODock, gadgets, widgets, objects, aren't being 'replicated' they're just there

seems to be a bug to me :NOTSURE:

so is the need to have icons showing for the backgrounds to work

Bichur, you are the man.

Drop me a PM and let me know what you would like to show up under the Christmas Tree, I'll see if I can make it happen.  :SURPRISED:

Thanks again.  ;)

Hi Philly, sorry for the late reply.  If you are still searching for a solution, this might help.  I should probably advertise this little applet more than I have:

SVDhelper - Lets Stardock Virtual Desktop update the wallpaper when running with IconX, and can also create separate Desktop Folders for each virtual desktop (so each desktop can have their own set of desktop shortcuts/files/folders).
https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=1131&libid=34

I also have a short developer diary of what I found out about SVD and IconX while trying to come up with a solution: https://forums.wincustomize.com/?aid=153026

I have no affiliation with stardock nor have I gotten any feedback/endorsement from them concerning this applet.
