How to bring back a desktopX gadget invisible?

I had put a desktopX gadget on screen near the edge of my desktop and had it run on windows startup. A few days ago I noticed it wasn't on screen after a reboot. But I couldn't "start it back up" again -- if I clicked on it, hourglass woudl spin and then nothing. I checked the task manager and see that it is running but I can't get it to display. I suspect it is somwhere "off screen" but don't know how to reset it coordinates.

What's the best way to fix that situation?  I looked for controls to do things with it in Desktop X but didn't find anything other than the normal "start" on windows load and the bring to front, back, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Todd

What the application you have tried to use? This is a "WIDGET" or directly "GADGET"? As well what is the name of this widget(gadget)?

I need this information to understand where it save its current position and how to make it visible again.

if it's actually an object or widget & you know the name:

switch to builder moder, then right click on the builder icon in the tray
choose 'list object'

find it in the list and check the 'x'/'y' position - if it's there but off screen (negative numbers) you can right click on it and go to properties and in the summary tab change the x/y to something else (like 150/150) to bring in back in

It was an actual stand alone widget -- the one I am having a problem with is "Vista Weather" which was kind of a clone of the vista sidebar gadget that runs on XP. I think that although it is a widget it's not totally stand alone -- it does require DesktopX be installed. Thanks on all the replies. I'll check into the suggestion Bichur mentioned tonight when I get back home and see if I can pull it out of the twilight ;) I'll let you know if that did the trick! Again thanks.

Vista Weather is a usual DesktopX widget (not a stand alone gadget).

This widget keeps current data in the simple text file (named "weather.ini") which doesn't contains any widget coordinates. Just temperature units and location...

So your problem isn't a bug in the widget script and you can't correct it in the DesktopX Builder. However it may be a bug in the Widget Manager! Try to run it and clear the widget cache (total!). Hope this help you.
