Open the background.ini in the docks folder and you'll see TextColor = ? & ShadowColor = ? at the top...change it to what ever you want there using RGB values and save the changes. But you can only change then for all the tabs...not just one. ;)

Make sure you change each set of numbers. i.e. if it's 255 255 255 you need to make sure you change it to 0 0 0 (black). And you'll also have to re-apply the dock after saving the changes.

Everyone has their own naming conventions for their .ini file names. Mine for instance are usually something like tab.ini or tab1.ini. So I'm thinking what you are looking at is the file name of the .ini (tab.ini). Open one of those up (the tab.ini files, those background.ini files are for zoomers). When you open that up, the TextColor line is second from top and the ShadowColor line (if included) is right under that one.

messiah1's file name convention

background.ini - used for Zoomers (variations include background1, background2 etc.)
tab.ini - used for regular Tabbed Docks (variations include tab1, tab2 etc.)
single.ini - used for single Tabbed Docks (drawers) (variations include single1, single2 etc.)
tile.ini - used for Tile Docks (variations include tile1, tile2, etc.)

Only the .ini for tabbed docks will have text and shadow color, is not for any other docks, zoomers, tiles etc.

Myself, I am a little lazy, with multi set docks I just name them background.ini, background1.ini etc, if one of my sets I normally do the tabbed dock last so would be the highest numbered .ini.

I make mine simple for anyone to make changes...each dock has its own folder and background.ini. ;)

Those are SO much easier for me...and easier for me to delete the docks I don't want (when trying to clean up my backgrounds folder).
