WB6 not in Appearance Tab?!?! Only Win Classic now?!!?

Windows XP theme disappears as well...

Very strange going's on...

New system, installing full verison of VB from Impulse onto Windows XP SP2 system.  (I did not choose the Lenovo T61 with the Intel chipset, so please don't blame me ;-) Installs with no errors.  Reboot and text in config window indicates all ok:

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.11 (build 58 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

Everything looks good, apply a theme, and Windows Classic shows up.  Yikes.  Go back to the Display dialog, and on the Appearance Tab (yea it's a property sheet), I click on the list box for Windows and Buttons.  Windows Classic only visible.  (Before WB installation, XP Silver was the theme.)  Zoinks!  Back to %sysroot%\resources\themes to install Luna.  Luna installs as a .theme and as a .msstyle.  NP, but open the Display Dialog back up and presto, disabled Windows and Buttons list, no Add/New WB buttons, all seems totally fubar'd.

That was 5+ restarts ago.  Out to Kelly's and run the various reg's to reset the registry, but nothing gets me back to Windows XP style staying visible, and any WB buttons to apply.  BTW--each time I do try to apply WB theme, it reverts back to Windows Classic.   :SNIFF!:

Any mystic registry patch or the like to reset the whole mess?  What's perhaps fubar'd if even the Windows XP style does not show.  And yes, I have checked all the usual items (Performance tab, Themes service on, etc.)  Thoughts, ideas?  Or any medicine bags sitting around?  (:(

. . . TizzyD (dazed and confused looking at Windows Classic)

Windowblinds Configuration > Look & Feel > Visual Styles > Skin Options > Rebuild List........

Luna is listed as "Windows XP Style" Do not use the Appearance tab to set styles.

Your System Info is the same as mine except video card so I'm not sure why you're having problems. Sounds like you need to contact support@stardock.com......but try this one more time first.....uninstall everything > reboot > reinstall Impulse > reboot > reinstall Windowblinds > reboot > apply style.....keep fingers crossed :)

Fingers crossed, and then nada. Update on the front...followed advice and removed all Stardock software. Ran a reg scrubber, and it cleaned out some entries no longer relevant. NBD. After reboots, Windows for default user at login shows XP theme, no issues. But...once my user starts up, it drops back to Windows Classic. So, that tells me it's gotta be some setting in my CurrentUserSettings registry tree than the Default. Off I went, and I found a few differences in the ThemeManager, so I carried those over (LMVersion was missing, otherwise, much the same). Next, I went to the Policies tree, and there I started hacking out all of the No{X} policy entries, even when set to 0. I also checked the Plus! tree, but that looked fine. So, now, fingers crossed again, let's see what happens.
