Impulse Refresh?

I seldom leave my dialup connected to the Internet overnight, but I did Thursday night I think as I was tired and had a ton of emails to download.  Wehn I tried to close it the next morning it said something about Impulse Refresh needed to finish so i left it a little longer.  Then I tried closing Internet again and it said Impulse needs to reboot and when I did it said Impulse Dock could not load.

In the first place i am not happy that programs "Refresh" themselves without asking.  Impulse was working and now is broken. X-(

It could have simply been some sort of corupted file or download. Have you tried a simple uninstall/reinstall yet? I understand this isn't the easiest thing to do on dial up but it still remains one of the best "Cures" for situations like this.

At the present time Impulse is still very much a new product and the updates will be rolling in frequently for tools, fixes, or content. Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think my problem might have started when I downloaded a new version of Impulse that wasn't the Full Download. Can you give me a link for the full download and i'll download from work and then do the uninstall reinstall at home.

Impulse seems to have installed OK. Although I didn't get a Impulse Dock, which is fine with me. I had removed it from the Programs\Start since it was trying to load even after uninstalling Impulse. I'll check out the FAQ. Impulse loaded alright and said there were 4 updates available.

FAQ page gave me:

If you simply open Impulse and close it again,you won't see the dock.Open Impulse and use the "minimize to dock" button(first one one the left) and the dock should launch.Then if you open Impulse again and close it ,the dock will remain.
While the dock is running,you may un-check run at startup or close the dock by r-clicking it.
If you have disabled the custom Impulse skin,you won't see the min. to dock button,btw.
