game wont start properly after intro movie

help

when i start up the game the intro movie comes up and plays fine but when the menu comes up the bobble heads right under the logoare gone and i cant cliick in any of the buttons and when i try 2 quit a boing sound starts heres my debug message.

While they aren't terribly old, it may be a good idea to check to see if there are newer drivers for your video card.

You have an ATI card, so you can go to the ATI website (www.ATI.com) and under "Support" click on the link for "ATI Graphics Drivers". They have a very easy method of selecting your OS, selecting your card name, and then card type to help you find the right drivers.

Give that a shot and then re-try the game to see if you still have problems. If you do, post the contents of the "debug.err" file again - as it gets overwritten each time you run the game.

That card shouldn't have any problems with shader 2.0, so please try updating your drivers as described in CrazyC0330's post above.

 

If that doesn't help, please let us know (post a new debug.err) and we'll go from there.

Your video driver still says the same date as it did before.  Were you unable to find newer drivers?

If you need help, follow these steps:

1)You have an ATI card, so you can go to the ATI website (www.ATI.com) and under "Support" click on the link for "ATI Graphics Drivers".

2) To find the drivers you need to select your Operating System.  You have windows Vista, but it wants to know if you have 32 bit or 64 bit vista.  If you don't know, you can find that out by going to Start->Control Panel, and double-clicking "System".  Now that you know, select the correct version of vista on ATI's site.

3) In the next box, select "Integrated/Motherboard"

4) In the next box, you should see your video card (Radeon Xpress 200M).  Select that and press the "GO" button.

5) Now, on the next page, download from "Option 1" and install the driver

6) After it installs, run the game and let us know what happens.
