Lightweight Ninja won't run or install, but loads on SDC and plays from start menu.

Hey guys, on Vista 64, and LN doesn't play in Impulse.

But plays from start menu.

HOW DARE YOU KEEP ME FROM SUCH AN IMPORTANT GAME!

On a serious note, i'm wondering if this is affecting alot of stardock old games.  If impulse won't let them run because they think it can't.

Impulse is a bit pickier about 64-bit compatibility (AFAIK it won't run or install programs if they are not specifically flagged as compatible). I believe we're going to update the behavior so that it gives an overrideable warning rather than a flat refusal. In the meanwhile, you should be able to circumvent the issue by running Impulse in XP 32bit compatibility mode.

If after you try running in 32bit mode and still have troubles please let us know at support@stardock.com. Please also make sure that your video drivers are up to date should you have to.

Very up to date, I have 17x.xx drivers, for an 8800gts 640.

I'd rather not run in compatibility mode for a new product though. If I want to play Lightweight Ninja I'll play it in the start menu.

But there are a few old games I wanna buy and try (Morning's Wraith being one), so I hope this is fixed soon.

BTW, a FYI... I have the same problem on a 32bit vista business machine.

It's a:

Amd 3200+
1.5 gigs 3200 ram
9600xt

It actually runs most games, even tf2 and some new games, great.

In the mean time open up Impulse and then drag the Light Weight Ninja short cut from the start menu to the MyGames tab. The Icon presented there will launch the game normally. You can do this from the Impulse dock as well.
